The Conference Center, which would be a spacious, modern, and eco-friendly facility, is being established in the context of the African Union (AU) Summit that Niger is to host in 2019 and which would witness high-level and wide-ranging participation from the AU Member States. The Centre honors the memory of Mahatma Gandhi, whose 150th birth anniversary is also being observed in 2019. The establishment of the Centre is a landmark for Niger-India friendship, as also a symbol of India’s firm commitment towards Africa.

For such an Iconic Structure the lighting must be exemplary. The integrated lighting concept is applied indoors for the highest quality, visually appropriate, and energy-efficient lighting. Uplights and grazers are used for the facade to accentuate and enhance the structural elements.
